Smoothing effects
You can correct before smoothing out. Detach the letters using adhesive tape, or an eraser or scraper (take care not to scratch). It is important that the paper used be smooth and fluff-free. When you are satisfied with your composition, cover it with protective paper then rub your design carefully. This will reinforce the adhesion.

Transfer on shaped surfaces
If the object you are using makes direct transfer difficult (e.g. cylinder) or access to the object is difficult, compose your text on a sheet of smooth, non-fluffy paper. Do not rub it. Detach it using transparent adhesive tape then position it on the object at the required position.
